True to its word, the company offers warranty options to homeowners so that when appliances or systems stop working, they are easily repaired or replaced.

Complete Home Plan

This tier provides coverage for kitchen appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and other breakdowns. The price for this plan in some states is about $612 per year. 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty does not publish the exact cost of this plan on its website. Intense coverage includes the following:

  • Heating and Cooling – thermostats, interior gas supply lines, and one centrally ducted gas/electric system.
  • Appliances – built-in microwave, dishwasher, range, oven, cooktop, refrigerator.
  • Electrical – wiring, outlets, doorbell system and switches.
  • Plumbing – water heaters, pipe leaks or breaks, toilet tank, drain line stoppages (only those that can be cleared with a standard sewer cable), pressure regulators, valves and permanently installed sump pumps for groundwater.

Pinnacle Home Plan

This is an advanced option as compared to the Complete Home plan. It includes washer and dryer and Supreme to Complete Home's plan features. The prices in some states for this plan are $720 per year, which is about $60 per month. The Supreme coverage entails:

  • Appliances – clocks, shelves, knobs, dials, interior lining, ceramic and glass cooktops, rotisseries, springs, latch assemblies, racks, baskets, handles, and disposal fees.
  • Heating and Cooling – crane cost, filters, disposal fees. For cooling, there is also refrigerant recovery and recharge and electrical cut-off switches.
  • Plumbing – faucets and handles, shower heads, tub spouts, interior and exterior hose bibbs, encased (concrete) or concealed water, gas, drain, waste, and vent piping leaks or any breaks in the plumbing system, among others.
  • Electrical – burglar alarm system, fire alarm system, attic and bathroom exhaust fans, and concrete-encased wiring.

Compared to plans from other companies, the Simply Kitchen plan is very basic and cheaper than other home plans on the market. The average plan, the Complete Home plan, covers almost the same items as other companies' full plans but is more expensive. It averages $612 per year, while the industry average is about $574 per year.

Real Estate Plans

2-10 Home Buyers Warranty also offers packages for homeowners and home sellers. Builder members can purchase a structural warranty, providing the buyers with a home built professionally, following the industry construction standards.

How 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty works

Once homeowners identify a problem with their home appliances or systems, such as a gas leak, they call 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. A contractor is sent to the home to identify the problem. They report back to the office, after which coverage is provided according to the homeowner's plan and as per the Service Agreement.

Each system and appliance covered by the warranty has a limit on how much can be paid out, detailed in the service agreement. The payout limits are:

  • $150 for faucet repairs and replacements
  • $300 for toilets
  • $500 for dishwashers
  • $1000 for range/cooktop/oven
  • $1,250 for water heating units
  • $2,000 for air conditioning and heating units
  • $2,500 for refrigeration units

2-10 Home Buyers Warranty offers home warranties in all 50 states, including Washington, D.C. It is a rare feat for a home warranty company to operate in all states, giving 2-10 an advantage over competitors.

2-10 has an "Even If" guarantee offer, so if you pay a service fee but the technician finds the job not eligible for coverage, you get a refund of your service fee. This service is only available on request.
